Newlyweds
Believe it or not, we’re newlyweds! Some 35 years ago we were in love with our past spouses, raising our families in the Lord, and fellowshipping as two couples in many of Bethel’s church activities. When my husband passed away due to a heart attack, my dear friends Davey & Pattie were there to comfort and support me along with our Bethel family. When Pattie passed due to cancer some years later, I was there to support Davey as he began to walk a new path of grief recovery. Over time our friendship deepened and to our surprise, romance blossomed! We knew that our path together was marriage and our Bethel community was there to give us their blessing with a wonderful wedding right after a Sunday church service. Now we teach an adult connection class together and serve together as part of Bethel’s prayer staff. We have 5 adult children between us, 11 grandchildren and now even a great-grandchild! It is a wonderful life that God has provided us because God is ALWAYS good! We are so grateful for all the teaching, support, and encouragement we have received at Bethel for all of these years that still continues to this day, and look forward to being a part of it in the years to come. In good times and bad
I have been a part of Bethel Christian’s family for over 30 years. I know it may seem like a cliche to say that your church is your family but it is absolutely true. A family supports you, prays with you, loves you unconditionally, helps you grow in your relationships (especially your relationship with God), and will always be with you in every aspect of your life – whether good or bad.
My Bethel family has stood by me in my greatest of times, but more importantly, in my darkest. My son was born with many medical issues which eventually took his life at the age of 7. If not for the support, love, prayers, and encouragement of our Bethel family it would have been nearly impossible to overcome this horrendous trial.
When my marriage of over 20 years fell apart a few years later my daughter and I were devastated. Our Bethel family surrounded us and kept us afloat. Their strength helped me to pull myself back up and become a better mom – and now a mom-in-law to her husband!
My relationship with God has grown over the years due to the incredible teaching and guidance that I have received from Bethel. I know that I will always come out of whatever is thrown my way due to the teaching I have received.
If you are looking for a place to call home, to feel like you have a family, to be taught God’s word and how to get a better understanding of that word, to find out His plan for your life, then I say come join us and put yourself under the anointing of the Holy Spirit every time you walk through the doors.
